Dina Cirillo Strachan, MA, LAC is a Licensed Associate Counselor (NJ Lic #37AC0063300) and a graduate of The College of New Jersey with a BA in English Education. Dina earned her Master's Degree (MA) in Student Personnel Services (Student Counseling). For over 20 years, she has had a passion for her work with pre-teens and teens that motivated her to return to Rowan University for additional training to earn a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Mental Health, graduating summa cum laude. Dina has experience working with individuals of all ages with areas of focus including grief and loss, trauma, depression and anxiety, career counseling, LGBTQIA+ issues, and much more. Dina focuses on building trust with her clients so that the difficult work of healing can happen in a safe setting, and she believes counseling is a collaborative effort that is guided by the goals of the client. Dina's role is to empower her clients to feel worthy and capable of positive, loving relationships with others and with themselves.
In addition to her years of experience, Dina is a licensed Associate Counselor (LAC). This means she has fulfilled all of her educational requirements and has passed her licensure exam (with flying colors) and is now working to fulfill the required clinical hours of full licensure. At SGC, she is completing those requirements under her Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) Ginean Crawford, MFT, LPC, NCC, ACS, BC-TMH (NJ License # 37PC00290800).
